Wickid Candle is the epitome of handmade. Jeffrey Smith, the artist founder behind Wickid Candle is the mastermind behind the scent combinations, the unique wax blends which he hand-pours, and even the cement jars which he makes at his home.

Jeffrey has created the longest-lasting and cleanest burning candles through his use of environmentally friendly business practices. He uses a blend of organic coconut wax and beeswax to create his candles which means no fossil fuels or particulates burning in your home. Good for you & good for the planet!

These candles are designed for men. Yes, we know how that might sound but Jeffrey’s mission was to create the cleanest burning, all-natural, non-soy, masculine scented candles. That’s not to say women won’t love these scents too but the scent design and overall look of the candle were made with men in mind.

We are so excited to have Wickid Candle joining us at The CAMP especially since the owner is such a die-hard Costa Mesa fan. On today’s episode of Get To Know The CAMPERS we are pleased to introduce you to Jeffrey Smith, founder, owner, artist, and teacher behind @wickidcandle

Jeffrey is originally from Tyler, Texas (howdy) but has spent the majority of his life in California. It’s in California where he started to cultivate his passion for his hobby turned business, candle making!

Jeffrey was inspired to start @wickidcandle because as a man who enjoys a nice scented candle and the soft glow of the flame realized that there were no good scented candles out there. Mainly that there were only floral scented candles on the market, and he wanted to change that. After a few classes from the @ociesbdc he was able to transform his hobby into his business, Wickid Candle.

Jeffrey has been invested in Costa Mesa since the first day he moved here. He loves that Costa Mesa is a hub for artists and that the food scenes keep getting better and better! He and his family have deep roots in this community beyond just being residents. Jeffrey has been a coach for the National and American baseball leagues over the years, his kids attend Costa Mesa High where they play multiple sports, and he now has his first brick and mortar shop is here. Like the hat says in the photo he ❤️Costa Mesa!

He is so generous with his knowledge of candles that anyone who pops by the shop will leave wiser to the benefits of burning proper candles as well as how to maintain/burn them to get the best overall experience.

The selection at Wickid Candle doesn’t stop at just candles, even though Jeffrey offers a wide selection of candles from small tins to glass jars to gorgeous cement pieces. He also offers melts, diffuser oils, beard balms, custom pours as well as workshops so you can learn how to make, pour and burn your own candles!
