ABOUT THE BAND:

As new students at the Orange County School of the Arts in 2020, Hank Braverman (drummer) and Ashwin Desai (lead/rhythm guitarist) met and discovered they shared the same passion and drive for music. During an afternoon hike at Newport Back Bay with endless conversations about their love for music and the adrenaline rush from performing on stage, they decided to form the band Back Bay. Having access to some of the most talented young musicians in all of Southern California, they naturally recruited Hayden Ficht (vocals and rhythm guitarist), Emmi Nicolov (lead/rhythm guitarist), and Hailey Emerich (keyboardist and back up vocals) from their performing arts school. Spending hours on weekends jamming and collectively writing music, they quickly formed a close bond that gave them laughter, hope, and an escape during the trying times of the pandemic and political unrest. Back Bay is sure to entertain audiences of all ages with cover songs and original music influenced by some of their favorite genres including Rock, Alternative, Blues, Math Rock and Punk
